‘Dr. Jena’s Cardio-Diabetes Centre’ is an independent organization located at CDA sector 7. This is the first organization in Odisha to introduce the concept of Cardio-Diabetes. It provides comprehensive and scientific management for both heart disease and diabetes. As a matter of fact Cardiovascular diseases are the continuum of diabetes.

The founder of the organization is Dr. Biswaranjan Jena. He is a senior consultant Interventional Cardiologist & Diabetologist with over 14 years of experience in this medical field. After doing MBBS from VSS Medical College, Burla, he did his specialization in General Medicine from the same institution in 2008. His passion for Diabetes then took him to the prestigious Christian Medical College, Vellore to pursue 1 year post doctoral fellowship in Diabetes. During this period he has done research on ‘the effects of Diabetes on Heart’. As a post graduate fellow in diabetes, he was involved in specialized Type I diabetes clinic, diabetes eye clinic and diabetic foot clinic. He was a research officer in various multicentric randomized trials on diabetes and heart diseases at CMC Vellore. He is the second batch of fellow from CMC and completed his course in 2010.
He has practised Medicine & Diabetes at different Medical Colleges, before joining DM cardiology at SCB Medical College, Cuttack. After pursuing his super specialty degree of Cardiology (DM Cardiology) he undertook fellowship in interventional Cardiology at Apollo Hospital, Ahmedabad and Arneja Heart Institute, Nagpur. During this period, he has worked with various leading Interventional Cardiologist of India. He has also done observership in Pediatric Interventional Cardiology at Madras Medical Mission, Chennai. Post training in Interventional Cardiology, he has worked at Apollo hospital, Bhubaneswar and Ashwini group of hospitals as Consultant Interventional Cardiologist. Currently he is associated with multiple corporate hospitals of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar as Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist.
